Spica (Alpha Virginis) is a close binary system of two blue-white stars (B1 V) 1,800 times brighter than the Sun.
Canopus (Alpha Carinae) is the 2nd brightest star in our sky.
Achernar (Alpha Eridani) is a rapidly rotating blue-white star (B3 V) 816 times brighter than the Sun.

Alpha Virginis, Spica (13h 25m -11°10') is a blue-white class B1 giant star of magnitude 1.0.
Gamma Virginis, Porrima (12h 42m -01°27') is a 2.8 magnitude class F0 blue-white main sequence star.
Epsilon Virginis, Vindemiatrix (12h 59m +11°14') is a yellow giant G8 class star, 75 light years distant.

 Diadem
Alpha Comae is a close double star, its two class F (F5) dwarfs (ordinary hydrogen fusing stars) almost identical to each other, very much as are the twin class F0 (and just slightly warmer) stars of Porrima (Gamma Virginis).
Their apparent magnitudes of 5.07 together make Alpha Comae a fourth magnitude (4.3) star.
The name "Diadem," a jewelled crown in the hair, is of modern and unknown origin, and is never really used for the Alpha star, which is commonly known just as Alpha Comae.

 Other Planetary Systems
But the 70 Virginis and 47 Ursae Majoris systems appear to be more "normal".
It is likely that more planetary systems will be discovered using the methods that found 51 Pegasi, 70 Virginis and 47 Ursae Majoris.
We do not know for sure, but with the recent discoveries about 51 Pegasi, 70 Virginis and 47 Ursae Majoris the weight of evidence is now so strong that only a "devil's advocate" denies the conclusions.

 Messier Object 53
Alpha Comae itself may be located by either following the line from Arcturus via Eta Bootis by a further 11 deg to the W, or by following the line of Gamma - Delta - Epsilon Virginis by another 7 deg NNE.
M53 can be easily found just 1 deg NE of the 4th-mag star, 42 Alpha Comae Berenices, a visual binary star (A: 5.05, B: 5.08, both of spectral type F5V).
At only about 1 degree separation to the east, the faint and quite loose globular cluster NGC 5053 comes into the field of view, which is at roughly the same distance as M53 (53,500 light years), indicating that these clusters are also physically rather close together.

The Great Square of Pegasus: The stars Alpha Andromedae (Alpheratz), with Beta (Scheat), Gamma (Algenib), and Alpha Pegasi (Markab) define the "The Great Square of Pegasus", a rectangle that is 18x14 degrees in size.
Cygnus is also commonly known as the "Northern Cross'', a figure that can be constructed by drawing lines connecting the five brightest stars in the constellation (Alpha, gamma, Beta, epsilon, and delta).
It has a large color contrast similar to that of Alberio (see September), with the brighter of the pair being of a yellow/golden hue, with the fainter star being blue, or bluish-green.

The constellation is very hard one to identify its shape because most of stars are fainter than third magnitude excepting Spica, alpha Virginis.
I'd like to show you probably one of most distant objects can be captured with amateur telescopes.
And it's positioned far away from the milky way, so you can observe lots of galaxies over two thousand visible with medium-sized telescopes.
