 <xsl:sort>
The nodes can be sorted either in numerical or alphabetic order, and the alphabetic order may vary depeinding on the language in use.
The object methods of the Sort object encapsulate a container for key-specific data (such as the sort key itself, sort order, sort type, and such) while the static methods take a vector of Sort objects and generate the actual code.
Different sort order/types can be specified for the different levels of sort keys, but we assume that the same language is used for all levels.

 Arabic alphabet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The special Abjadī order (or two slightly variant orders) was devised by matching an Arabic letter of the fully consonant-dotted 28-letter Arabic alphabet to each of the 22 letters of the Aramaic alphabet (in their old Phoenician alphabetic order) — leaving six remaining Arabic letters at the end.
Finally, the Unicode encoding of Arabic is in logical order, that is, the characters are entered, and stored in computer memory, in the order that they are written and pronounced without worrying about the direction in which they will be displayed on paper or on the screen.
This usage is based on the Abjadi order of the alphabet.

 Optimal Binary Trees vs. Optimal Alphabetic Binary Search Trees
An optimal alphabetic tree built on a given initial sequence of nodes is a tree whose cost is minimum and the leaf nodes of the tree preserve the alphabetic order of the initial sequence.
An optimal alphabetic binary search tree can be obtained from an existing optimal alphabetic binary tree by embedding information supporting the binary search procedure in the internal nodes of the tree.
On the other hand optimal alphabetic binary search trees are sufficient for both the encoding and decoding process.

 Sorting the letter ÞORN
No national alphabetic order is intended to be replaced by a default sorting order; the default merely exists in case a national sorting order is not chosen.
Below we review the expected sorting order of ÞORN by a thorough search and citation of available literature for these languages; this is a representative survey if not an exhaustive one.
National sorting orders may create sets on other principles; thus in Polish L and Ł are considered to be separate letters for the purposes of sorting.
