 Cascading Style Sheets - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
CSS level 3, which was started in 1998, is still under development as of 2005.
CSS level 2 was developed by the W3C and published as a Recommendation in May 1998.
CSS hacks and filters are used to compensate for bugs such as this, just one of hundreds of CSS bugs that have been documented in various versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera.

If this is the case with your browser and you want to see what is going on then I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest version or just get Firefox on a PC or Safari on a Mac.
The examples may work in your browser and if you are using the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera and Safari then no doubt they will, but any other browsers, especially the older ones, will probably fail to display correctly.
