 Source Code Review Guidelines
Having to figure out how the code is designed, what modules will be compiled in, and other such information, obvious to the developer, will slow the process of code review while we wait for the overview information, and thus, deployment will be delayed.
The binaries from this code will be installed as per the install instructions.
The code review participants should remain constant from review to review.

 Code Review Protocol
Optional reviewers are selected to participate in the review session because of their knowledge of the subject matter or expertise in the type of code to be reviewed.
If the code is complex the leader may choose to have a half hour informational session some time before the actual peer review session where the author of the code provides a high level detail or the code and is available for questions.
A Peer Code Review Plan should be developed and documented in the Software Development Plan for a project.

Code Inspection / Review - QA Forums
Reviewers cannot just review a piece of code, they need to know at least what the design is and how it fits into the rest of the system.
A good code review checklist should be present in the meeting and should be followed so that a variety of problems are kept in mind and looked for.
Reviewing every module may not be cost effective, so review those code modules that will get most benefit from a review.

 A Case for Code Review
The initial review needs to be meaty enough to represent all the complexities of the software component under development.
And each experience where code review was part of the development life-cycle, there was always success, of varying degrees to be sure, but each project reaped benefits.
The idea behind a good code review process is that the software is exposed.

 Code Review FAQ
A review is focused on a patch's design, implementation, usefulness in fixing a stated problem, and fit within its module.
Code review is our basic mechanism for validating the design and implementation of patches.
We do want to be continuously upgrading code quality, and making auxiliary changes related to the patch may be the right thing to do.

 Honor Code Review Committee Report
The Honor Code Review Committee proposes that the manner in which first-year students are introduced to the honor code be changed to emphasize its importance.
To further stress the honor code as well as to educate students on the difficult topic of plagiarism, the Committee recommends that issues of academic honesty be addressed in all first-year seminars, preferably in a standardized format developed for the seminar program.
Because the honor code is the responsibility of both faculty and students, the system works most effectively when both groups are fully committed to it.

 Security Code Review
When reviewing code, always ask the question, "Is this data validated?" Keep a list of all entry points into your ASP.NET application, such as HTTP headers, query strings, form data, and so on, and make sure that all input is checked for validity at some point.
Your code is particularly vulnerable to race conditions if it caches the results of a security check, for example in a static or global variable, and then uses the flag to make subsequent security decisions.
Check that your code validates the data type of the data received from posted form fields and other forms of Web input such as query strings.

When this occurs, groups usually decide that code reviews are not valuable, drop code reviews from their development process, and lose the potential benefits that can stem from a correctly implemented code review.
For code reviews to be effective, they have to be fun and creative.

You don't want to assign random people to work on a code that requires specific knowledge such as parsers, code generators, compiler code optimizers, numerical methods or engines of games based on strong knowledge of physics (Flight Simulator is a good example).
Advocates of XP will often argue that pair-programming eliminates the need for formal code review because the code is reviewed as it is being written.
