Commodore computer history and repair information
The Commodore 64 was actually part of the evolution of computers marketed by CBM (Commodore Business Machines) which had previously proliferated the CBM and PET business computers into business and academic settings and who had then subsequently developed the VIC-20 computer which was the predecessor to the Commodore 64.
Commodore even developed an incredible interactive stand-alone CD unit (based on the Amiga technology) called the CDTV which (along with Philips CDI) were the predecessors to many of the CD-based interactive game systems which followed.
The fact that users of the Commodore computers did not need to constantly reconfigure, re-install, and uninstall software or worry about viruses and system crashes (as is common with our more modern Windows computers) allowed users to spend the majority of their time actually using the computer rather than spending so much time fighting it.

Commodore 128 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Commodore 128 (C128, CBM 128, C=128) home/personal computer was Commodore Business Machines (CBM)'s last commercially released 8-bit machine.
To make a large application software library instantly available at launch, the Commodore 128 CP/M and accompanying 1571 floppy disk drive was designed to run almost all Kaypro-specific CP/M software without modification.
Because the C128 would run virtually all C64 software, and because the next-generation, 16-bit, home computers, primarily the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST, were gaining ground, relatively little software for the C128's native mode appeared (probably on the order of 100–200 titles).

 The Height of 8-bit Wonderousness
A computer that is both hardware and software compatible with the immensely popular Commodore 64.
A computer that is a true upgrade over its predecessors, sporting 128k of memory, RGBI monitor compatibility for sharp video output, a keyboard to rival that of their business computers, and a significant upgrade to their built-in BASIC interpreter and operating system.
With these lessons in mind, Commodore engineers produced a computer that would be their crowning achievement.

 OLD-COMPUTERS.COM : The Museum
Thanks to the Z80 CPU, the Commodore 128 could run under CP/M + : lots of software were adapted for this computer and Osborne or Kaypro programs could run directly.
It was the successor of the Commodore 64 and could use all the software and a lot of the hardware of the C64 (the 8502 could be slowed down 1 MHz for compatibility).
The 128D was the direct successor of the Commodore 128 : it had exactly the same characteristics as the 128 except its external case which contained the Commodore 1571 floppy disk unit.

The Commodore 1571 was a double-sided version of the 1570.
The C128 was Commodore Business Machines' last commercially released 8-bit computer.
The C65 also has a DMA controller (Commodore's purpose built DMAgic) which also functions as a simple blitter, and a floppy controller for the internal Commodore 1581-like disk drive.

Computers: Systems: Commodore - Open Site
Commodore was a company formed in the late 1970s, originally to design and build electronic calculators, such as those you would use normally for basic calculation, though in 1978 they designed and built one of the earliest true personal computers, the Commodore PET.
Commodore's legacy is the Amiga, which was bought back by Amiga Inc in mid-2001, and there is rumoured to be a large-scale re-release of Amiga-based technology.
In 1985, Commodore developed the Amiga, one of the most powerful home computers designed, although by today's standards, a little lacking.

 Commodore
It ran almost all Commodore 64 software, which means software producers could sell Commodore 64 software to C64 and C128 users, but only sell C128 software to the much smaller crowd of C128 users, so they basically made C64 software.

 Commodore B-Series Software
The 6509 is upwardly compatible with the MOS 6502 as used in the Commodore PET, CBM, and VIC-20 computers.
The memory map of the B-Series computers is not compatible with any other Commodore product (and there are even incompatibilities between some earlier B systems and the later ones), so machine language will need significant rework to function properly.
It's interesting to note that, unlike the later Commodore 128s' CP/M® support, the diskette format of the B-Series for both MS-DOS® and CP/M-86 had to be Commodore proprietary GCR encoding and not industry-standard MFM.

Like the Commodore 264 series (Plus/4, C16, C116), the Commodore LCD had built-in software, but as opposed to the unfaithful 264 series, the software was by far better.
Above that, Commodore showed prototypes of an external 3.5" serial floppy drive, the 1561, which was also battery-powered.
The 96k of CMOS ROM contained the following software, some of which was incomplete in the prototype shown on the Winter CES:

I don't know anything about CP/M, or BASIC, whatever version the commodore has, i don't know the real difference between a commodore 128 and a commodore 64, wouldn't the entire chipset need to be changed for it to have more than 64k of memory?
Just look at what a piece of crap Visual Basic is (yes, I have experience and coding skills in Visual Basic, and I think it sucks, so shut the fuck up, Zombie 91210 or Windows XP Luser #31337)...
I only boot the Commodore 64 emulator to make BASIC programmes and to play cool games.

The ship controls are simple (don't forget, most Commodore 64 players used the old Atari 2600 joysticks to play Commodore games): you hold the stick in a direction, and the ship rotates in that direction.
It's got four-color graphics and the music is sparse at best, but given the Commodore 64 hardware and the scope of this game, it's not something to be used for eye candy anyway.
