I then tried forcing Debian GNU/kFreeBSD in by unpacking the tarball above the FreeBSD instalation and I even got some stuff to work, but it was not fun without networking, anyway.
So, the Debian GNU/* tests I was trying to do didn't go very well for me. I tried installing Debian GNU/Hurd on my toshiba laptop and found out it would not support my pcmcia network card.
On the Debian front, I've taken the time to do some work on apt-howto, gksu and its friends, and glade-2, which is now my package too.

I have a development box running Debian Gnu/kFreeBSD, I plan to move my webserver as soon as another couple of packages build, and I plan to run my desktop with it as well.
The goal is to fulfil the requirements for Debian GNU/kFreeBSD for i386 ("kfreebsd-i386") to be officialy accepted in the Debian archive.

I'm looking for Debian developers to second me on this.
I installed a few packages manualy from Debian, but most of the stuff (including gcc/binutils) is built natively.
The filesystem name is "linprocfs" and entry would look like this: "null /proc linprocfs rw 0 0" New installations should work unaware of this since crosshurd is now fixed (1.7.8) to setup procfs for systems that support it.
