Looking toward the future, Meyer is particularly enthused about a new feature planned for Tiger, the next version of Mac OS X. “I’m interested in exploring Dashboard in Tiger, because Dashboard is basically HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with JavaScript-based hooks into the image routine built into the operating system,” he says.
In 1997, Meyer created a series of charts outlining the CSS support in the then-current versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer, for both Macintosh and Windows.
