Graphics tablet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first home computer graphics tablet was the KoalaPad.

A graphics tablet is a computer peripheral device that allows one to hand-draw images directly into a computer, generally through an imaging program.

Graphics tablet - definition of Graphics tablet in Encyclopedia
A graphics tablet (or digitizing tablet) is a computer peripheral device that allows for a relatively simple method of inputing hand-drawn graphics or art into a computer in real time.
The main advantage of a graphics tablet is that it is a far more natural way to create graphical marks within a software package compared to devices such as the mouse.
In high-end professional systems, the graphics tablet has always been the input device of choice, for example in the dedicated Crosfield imaging system, many PCB drafting/layout systems, and the Quantel Paintbox.

Graphics tablets contain two parts: The tablet itself and a pen—or stylus—that is used to “draw” on the tablet’s sensitive surface.
The first variable is tablet size, a specification that refers to the active, or usable, area that you can draw on, not the unit’s physical size.
Like all of Adesso’s tablets it’s designed to work with Mac OS and Windows computers.
