 CYCLONE GENERIC I 2 O CLASS DRIVER
Cyclone's Generic I2O Class Driver was created to remove this obstacle, allowing devices for which no I2O class exists to make use of the features of I2O.
The Generic Class Driver itself is a layered Windows NT device driver, and operates in conjunction with Cyclone's I2O Transport and Messaging Layers.
The Generic Class Driver forms the upper half of I2O's split driver model, and is referred to as an Operating System Module (OSM) in the I2O Specification.

 Intel® i960(R) RP/RD I/O Processors Product Brief
The 33 MHz i960® RP and 66 MHz i960 RD I/O processors are single-chip solutions which support the I2O specification for standardized Intelligent I/O. The combination of an Intel I/O processor and the I2O architecture provide the framework to allow for significantly enhanced I/O and system level performance.
Intel's family of I/O processors, the 80960RP and RD, build on the established performance of Intel's 80960 RISC architecture and also encompass industry initiatives, including PCI and I2O*, to effectively offload host CPUs of I/O processing chores.
The i960 RP/RD I/O processor is a single-chip intelligent I/O subsystem for servers in the enterprise computing environment.

I2O is also designed to work with intelligent input/output subsystems, with support for message passing between multiple independent processors, so that the host system can be relieved of all the interrupt-intensive tasks associated with servicing device drivers.
Several operating system vendors, including SCO, Microsoft, and Novell, have announced support for I2O in future products.

Intel i960 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Intel attempted to bolster the i960 in the I/O device controller market with the I2O standard, but this had little success and the design work was eventually ended.
The i960 design was started as a response to the failure of Intel's iAPX 432 design of the early 1980s.
In 1984 Intel and Siemens started a joint project, ultimately called BiiN, to create a high-end fault-tolerant object-oriented computer system programmed entirely in Ada.

 a/wwo2.4
Linux 2.4 expands on this support by including direct support for ISA Plug-and-Play devices (a scheme to make ISA devices almost as intelligent as PCI ones) and I2O devices.
Equally important is the computer's bus architecture, the component(s) of the system that is often responsible for internal and external devices.
(SVGAlib and other libraries also allow you to do direct video manipulation on supported hardware, however the use of these libraries must be done carefully as there are some security concerns and race conditions.) One of the biggest changes in this respect is the addition of the Direct Rendering Manager to the Linux kernel.

GODMANCHESTER - LoveToKnow Article on GODMANCHESTER
The town (Gumencestre, Gomecestre) belonged to the king before the Conquest and at the time of the Domesday survey, in 1213 King John granted the manor to the men of the town at a feefarm of ~I2O yearly, and confirmation charters were granted by several succeeding kings, Richard II.
James I. granted an incorporation charter in 1605 under the title of bailiffs, assistants and commonalty, but under the Municipal Reform Act of 1835 the corporation was changed to a mayor, 4 aldermen and 12 councillors.
The incorporation charter of 1605 recites that the burgesses are chiefly engaged in agriculture, and grants them a fair, which still continues every year on Tuesday in Easter week.
