To fulfill the Iter Bibliography's second and third objectives, i.e., to provide comprehensive coverage of print and electronic publications, and to involve both Renaissance Studies and Information Studies graduate students in the creation and maintenance of the records, a special methodology was developed for managing the records in the database.
Iter has made a number of information management decisions that have implications for its users in addition to its developers.

 The International Fusion Project (ITER)
These strides were in the development of its predictive capability based on detailed measurements and validated, sophisticated computer modeling, thereby presenting a new, fully scientific approach to fusion research.
In parallel, a DOE review of the international ITER value estimate was conducted with a very positive judgment made on the high quality of the design work and estimate.

These model dependent projection values indicate that for the present database the uncertainty in the prediction for ITER is larger than the 95% confidence interval estimate from the log-linear model.
The implementation of these and other steady-state operating scenarios in the ITER device is examined in order to identify key design modifications that can enhance the prospects for successfully achieving advanced tokamak operating modes in ITER compatible with a single null divertor design.
