 PHP programming language
PHP runs on every major operating system, including Unix, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X and can interact with all major web servers.
PHP 5 introduces a destructor concept similar to that of other object-oriented languages, such as Java: When the last reference to an object is destroyed the object's destructor, which is a class method named __destruct() that recieves no parameters, is called before the object is freed from memory.
PHP was originally designed as a wrapper around Perl by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 to display his resume information and collect some data, such as how many hits it was generating.

 e-gineer - Instructions - Installing PHP 4.x for Apache 1.x.x on Linux
Hi I was tryign to install apache, mysql and php4 on my linux box and followed the instructions on this site.
As a complete newbie to Linux I was a bit daunted by the task of having to install Apache, MySQL and PHP.
Everything works OK except when I try to remake Apache with PHP all the paths seem wrong for the modules, resulting in loads of "file not found".
