Guidance on expressing the Dublin Core within the Resource Description Framework (RDF)
However, the basic RDF syntax utilised in the examples throughout this paper is not suitable for embedding in HTML documents, due to the inconsistent manner in which it is treated by the current generation of web browsing software, and a special abbreviated syntax [RDF-ABBREV] must be used instead.
The RDF instance of this declaration can be found in Appendix 2, although users and developers should always refer to the Namespace itself for the most definitive version.
The development of RDF provides an environment in which the semantic ideals of Dublin Core may be both preserved and expressed, whilst allowing the simultaneous definition of a syntax utilising the eXtensible Markup Language (XML).

 XML.com: What is RDF?
RDF makes it possible to use multiple pieces of software to process the same metadata, and to use a single piece of software to process (at least in part) many different metadata vocabularies.
RSS-DEV group has produced the RDF Site Summary (RSS) 1.0 Specification, which provides an RDF-based channel format, designed for interoperability with high level vocabularies such as Dublin Core as well as a variety of more application-specific RDF vocabularies.
Since RDF became a W3C Recommendation in February 1999, a number of tools have been created by developers working with RDF.

 SWI-Prolog RDF parser
This predicate can be used to process arbitrary large RDF files as the file is processed object-by-object.
For example, it cannot deal with documents where the RDF statement is embedded in an XML document.

 RDF Site Summary (RSS) 1.0

 Practical RDF
In the interests of uncomplicating my life, I’m moving all RDF related posts back to Burningbird in categories related to RDF, Semantic Web, and so on.
Much of the functionality that the library community is seeking: the ability to move data between formats and identify authorities, is already present in RDF.
The only way to demonstrate that is to come up with more convincing demonstrations, e.g.

 Planet RDF
An RDF version might be better - allowing better types of filtering; Jo Walsh has been working on something like this.
I believe that one of the best ways to transition into RDF, if not a long-term deployment strategy for RDF, is to manage the information in human-consumable form (XHTML) annotated with just enough info to extract the RDF statements that the human info is intended to convey.
For the technically minded btw, the XML format was translated using XSLT to RDF, queried over using SPARQL and the client built using a Javascript AJAX library.

 RDF
RDF can provide a level of indirection between the application and data, as its general graph structure can represent all kinds of data, such as relational (SQL) or hierarchical (directories, XML).
Compared to XML data integration strategies, RDF's notion of unique resources and availability of languages for describing the logical relations between data structures (such as OWL) make it easy to build abstractions over arbitrary representations of data.
RDF unshackles you from the physical location of files and documents.

 RDF API Draft
Since Dec 16, 1999 the distribution includes a parser for a simplified syntax for RDF.
SHA-1 algorithm (160-bit hash) is now used by default instead of MD5 (128-bit) to compute the URIs for reified statements, models and anonymous resources.
The default implementation of the API interfaces supports computing cryptographic digests of models and statements.

 RDF - ESW Wiki
RDF, or "Resource Description Framework," is a data structure.
But once they do, the technology is not an obstacle- overlapping was already considered in the construction of the spec.
RDF data can overlap - RDF is designed so that if some data presents an incomplete picture, you can amend it from afar (see "NetworkedData.") Say there's a public database of baseball players, but for some reason it's missing their batting averages.

 RDF Forms
This statement is one way that an RDF Forms enabled agent can infer that the "order-processor" resource accepts data (though it may also be done implicitly, as well as via vocabulary specific means, though that defeats much of the benefit of RDF Forms).
However, due to the fact that rf:acceptedMediaType is declared to have an rdfs:range of rf:Container, an RDF Forms processor can infer that myns:SmsMessageReceptor is an rdfs:subClassOf rf:Container, and therefore of rdf:type rf:Container.
Note that this requires that RDF schema inferencing be used by RDF Forms processors.

 RDF - FutureWeb?
When materials are published on the Web, be they documents, diagrams, images, programs (in fact anything postable!) there will be available via RDF processes a way to find out which have been designed using device independent authoring practices - the rest will be mere Spam, if that is your wish.
One ongoing project, an "item describer" will use RDF to expand a previous headline-grabber.
At the level of designing entire languages from scratch, the specialists who do the work speak in terms that make little sense to a layperson.

 [No title]
Entries are declared using RDF Schema language to support RDF applications.
Typically, a Title will be a name by which the resource is formally known.
If the Rights element is absent, no assumptions can be made about the status of these and other rights with respect to the resource.
