Requirements analysis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Requirements analysis is an important part of the system design process; whereby requirements engineers, business analysts, along with systems engineers or software developers, identify the needs or requirements of a client; having identified these requirements they are then in a position to design a solution.
Requirements analysis, in systems engineering and software engineering, encompasses all of the tasks that go into the instigation, scoping and definition of a new or altered system.
Functional requirements define the internal workings of the software: that is, the calculations, technical details, data manipulation and processing, and other specific functionality that shows how the use cases are to be satisfied.
