Simple group - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In a huge collaborative effort, the classification of finite simple groups was accomplished in 1982.
Despite the name, simple groups are far from "simple".
Simple groups of infinite order also exist: simple Lie groups and the infinite Thompson groups T and V are examples of these.

Messaging vendors rally around SIMPLE protocol
The SIMPLE working group will meet this week in London to debate a few remaining technical issues, including how to set up communications for large messages and multimedia, and how users will authorize the release of their presence information to other subscribers.
"SIMPLE is the direction the whole industry is moving toward for a standard-based instant messaging solution," says Jonathan Rosenberg, one of the authors of SIMPLE and the chief scientist at Dynamicsoft, which sells a SIMPLE-based software developers kit to service providers.
Similarly, Microsoft plans to support SIMPLE in its MSN Messenger and Windows XP operating system, due out in September.

When tasks are simple, group members know how to perform them, and need not spend much time discussing the issue.
By ignoring the impact of process on output, ISM researchers made it impossible to learn how process can be used to help groups perform their task or get along with one another better from their perspective.
For example, a group is reassigned from a coordination task to an accuracy task.

Flanagan and his group started using an IBM 650 mainframe computer, intending to simulate a telephone transmission system that would enable them to test future advances without building hardware.
As part of that group, he was trained to maintain and operate the first radar-based air traffic control systems, a job that gave him his first exposure to nonlinear circuits and precision engineering.
Instead, Flanagan and his group would use a photograph of an oscillogram and measure the various amplitudes of the signal.

Windows 2000 Active Directory: Chapter 8 Profiles and Group Policy Primer
You set up a simple Group Policy with the customized registry changes configured and apply it to every computer in your organization.
Group policies are the primary Windows 2000 mechanism for applying changes to computers and users throughout an organization.
Another set of users may have access to manipulate Group Policy objects, but the MMC allows them to see only the Software Installation (User) and Software Installation (Computer) parts.

Ultrashort pulse propagation at the photonic band edge: Large tunable group delay with minimal distortion and loss
In conclusion, we find the group index for an optical pulse can exhibit a dramatic increase when we spectrally match the pulse to the first transmission resonance of a compact, 1D, PBG structure.
We define group delay by d=(n(g) – 1)L, where L is the length of the sample.

XML files don't post well in this forum, so I posted one in the MindManager Users Yahoo Group: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/mindmanager/files/ named simpleOutline.xslt.
Here is a simple XSLT which transforms a map or a topic (and its subtopics) into a simple HTML outline.
The schemas are listed as URLs at the top of the XML file and can be referenced to see the exact description of each element.

 Pro-MPEG Media Dispatch
The Media Dispatch Protocol is based on existing open technologies such as XML and Web Services, and is designed to scale in complexity to serve the needs of both small organizations needing a simple solution, and large organizations with complex requirements.
This group was created to define a recommended practice for securely dispatching large media files over IP networks, using a collection of existing interchange standards.
Recent developments in media technology have concentrated on the convergence of digital media with computers, leading towards completely tape-less systems for broadcast media.

 Focus Groups
A good focus group requires four simple characteristics: the proper composition, an open environment, a probing moderator, and in-depth analysis.
The question every focus group user needs to ask is: Who analyzes the transcripts?
The key to understanding why qualitative research in general, and focus groups in particular, are so important in the realm of today’s politics, can be summarized in a single sentence: Unlike traditional quantitative research, focus groups are centrally concerned with understanding attitudes rather than measuring them.

If I play a RTS or FPS type of game, at times I want to just fool around, and having an easy time, crushing the computer or perhaps mostly minding my own business and not having to worry about the computer players much.
I would be a fan of more hybrid approach, where ADD could change the basics of gameplay (such as thuglike enemies behavior) and then for intermediate bosses or level bosses, to have a set difficulty, or at the least, a much smaller scale ADD difficulty scale depending on the players performance in that level.
