 Web comics: easily found amusement
One draw back to the comic’s writing comes in the fact he hasn’t quite mastered English yet, so sometimes the grammar can be hard to understand.
One solution to this situation can be found with a computer and Internet access: web comics.
In one famous moment, the comic’s main character, Nick, exclaims: “Argh!

 ArcPage: The Podium Web Comics
I can understand why many comics creators on the web are still posting scanned print stuff, gigantic downloads of static gifs in a print page format.
That's not so easy for a print guy more used to crowquills and paintbrushes than trackballs and graphic tablets.
But while I understand it, I can't condone it.

 Hackles
Then I remembered how the computer kept crashing in the movie Pi as the main character came closer to the 216-digit number that might be the actual name of God.
My computer must have sensed my reluctance to finish the final comic because it failed me three times, which is rare.
Thank you, live happy, support Open Source software, and keep on supporting web comics!

 2035 Mi.: Web Comics
The web is changing people's views of publishing and there is nothing about printed content that makes it inherently better than web content.
The sooner traditional content creators understand this, the sooner they will prosper in a digital environment.
Now Player vs. Player (PVP) is offering it's comic to any newspaper who wants to publish it for free.

Echo Online :: News :: Web comics attract devout fans
While Milholland enjoys interacting with readers, he believes that too much input from fans also can hurt a comic.
Today, Stroum, fresh out of college, works for a national computer retail chain and puts out Shaw Island (www.comicsbyemail.com/comics/shawisland) five times a week.
Web comics tend to appeal to a niche market, such as fans of computer games and Japanese animation, who already spend a lot of time and money on the Internet.

 Web Comics
M/W/F. Zits -- although you can subscribe to lots of other mainstream comics by email (see ucomics.com and comics.com), Zits seems to be unavailible that way.
Currently on hiatus because of computer problems; should resume January 2004.
RPG World -- even not knowing anything about RPGs (or really any kind of gaming), I find this hilarious.

Sequential Tart - A Comics Industry Web Zine (Volume II, Issue 8, August 1999)
On the other hand, it has created a bizarre, ingrown system that has encouraged adolescent drivel (and worse).
Though not as outrageous or outspoken as Gary Groth, Kim Thompson has been the other half of the Fantagraphics brain trust for over 20 years.

Ban the Basics - Wednesday, October 12, 2005
That attempt has failed and it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall everything (software, hardware, etc...
It all depends on how much drawing I can get done this week.
I don't know long this is going to take so the comic will be on hiatus until I can get my system back in working order.

 The Best Webcomics of 2004
Pay close attention, all you webcomic up and comers.
Somebody give this man the recognition he deserves, fast.
The Nile Journals, his first ongoing comic, is an absorbing meta-fictional adventure that blends Goodbrey's high tech aesthetic with characters drawn from several of his previous works, to finally prove the practical storytelling value of some of Goodbrey's headier concepts.

Digital Strips : The Web Comics Podcast
Comics being published to the internet have changed dramatically in that time.
Their web site for the film is still unavailable and has been since the trailer originally went online and began getting attention.
Last week's interview with Kristofer Straub and David Willis was a huge success and is only the first in a string of podcasts with our listeners in mind.

Comixfan Forums - RIPPED BATMAN SHIRT #4: AHOY WEB COMICS!
Marvel's DotComics use web technology to enhance the reading experience; for instance, they allow you to click over panels so they can become larger, making them very easy to read.
While web comics might never replace physical books, they do make a welcome addition to the craft.
The web also offers exclusives only found on the net.

Venus Envy - Wednesday, October 12, 2005 - You know you love it
My computer problems were fixed by the most basic of human rituals: jumping and yelling and hitting it with a stick.
I honestly think it turned out better this way that it would have as two chunks.
On the brighter side, I seem to be only one of three people in my incoming Animation class interested in doing comics, or even anything 2-D; all these other kids (half of whom don't have ANY art experience...

Micropayments and Web Comics: Let's Do the Math - Indignant Online
However, should BitPass add more sites to their network, particularly complimentary sites, so that people will be actually interested in making micropayments to a number of sites in the network, it becomes much more valuable.
The same applies to other formats, and we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
McCloud has also been consulting for the company, BitPass, that is providing the micropayment system he’s using.

There is also a chat window on the side where the students not currently engaged with the mentor can talk back and forth.
Every student is encouraged to ask a question and when it's your turn your web cam is activated and you and your mentor are both on the screen at the same time for all the students to see so they can "eavesdrop" in on your back and forth with the mentor.
I then use either my web cam or my camcorder to capture myself doing a variety of actions to work out my timing and possible poses.

diesel sweeties: pixelated robot romance web comic
The best part about doing comics and stuff for work a few years now is that I am starting to understand some of my biological patterns.
BOASAS has been one of my favorite comics for years and I'm glad we finally could work him into our little family.
Recent comics are delving back into things which I am a little too obsessed with.

Comixpedia :: Covering the Digital Frontier of Comics Online
NY2123 is one of the first original graphic novels I've seen created especially for the PSP.
(You can read it on the web but the size of the images is definitely a better fit for the smaller PSP screen.) Two chapters are posted so far.
My first take is to adopt a list of genres and formats so that each comic can be tagged with both.

 FunnyBone Comics
He has decided not to do so for many additional reasons that align with my perspective.
I look at most of it cringing and wonder how it is possible that I let my brain communicate with my hand to create such work for public consumption.
I've moved on to scripting the next installment of Confetti.

Comiculture Web Comics Steve Buccellato's Web Comics
Below is the first of many ideas I want to develop exclusively for the web and Comiculture.com!
These features make web comics much more condusive to experimentation than print.
Comiculture magazine has (and will continue to be) a great outlet for me as a creator, but lately, the idea of web comics is an idea I've warmed up to.

 Amazon.com: Books: Understanding Comics
It's an easy, yet deep read all the way through (hence it's very easy to pick up and re-read from the beginning).
McCloud has a deep understanding of art and society and people, and a completely lucid presentation.
More than just a book about comics, this gets to the heart of how we deal with visual languages in general.

 Welcome to Prism Comics
For example, for some reason I’ve always been really attracted to short guys.
Often the comics characters we grew up on were, in the minds of most of the creative teams of the day anyway, nothing more than vehicles to selling lunchboxes, underwear, and, of course, toys.
MacIsaac, probably best known as the co-creator of Sticky from Eros Comix, will be awarded a $1000 grant to publish his new book called Shirtlifter.

I was so amazed with how much he could do with my simple drawings."
I did some of the key animation for the web comic (which I've always been interested in doing), but Anthony Lim does most of the animation.

 Making Web-Comics Your Day Job
It's difficult, but it can be doable if you have developed a reasonable number of readers.
Web comic creators need food and shelter just like every other human being out there so they usually end up getting a job (unless they're still in college and mooching off of their parents:-D).
R.K. Milholland of Something Positive recently posted a response to e-mails about his spelling problems in which he said, "If you are really bothered by my lack of updates or my need of extra proofreading, help me quit my day job so I can devote the time to doing it".

 Awesome web comics
Their best comics are anything that involve Mister Naners, the rabid monkey.
Tycho and Gabe say it like it is, and generally have the same views on things that most of us do...

Nuklear Power - Home of 8-bit Theater
Would it artificially force comics into further stagnation, a constant retelling of slight variations of stories we already know?
Part of the problem with continuity is that regular comic book readers tend to be more pedantic than normal people.
Would it create a an impossible labyrinth or pre- and post-Crises universes that make less sense than trying to figure out which version of Lex Luthor is the one from Earth-2, or the anti-matter world, or a clone, or the son of Lois Lane?

The confluence of the timing of each store's closing and the simultaneous need for both paper and pens on the same day leads me to believe there was some sort of Intelligent Designer influencing events.
